"In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face."
- Diogenes of Sinope
Diogenes was easily the most famous Cynic philosopher in Ancient Greece. He ripped on Alexander the Great to his face and routinely dunked on Plato.
You could find him taking dumps in public and giving people the finger from the overturned wine cask he slept in. To him, society, wealth, and status was a joke.
Diogenes cranked his BS meter to 11 and then broke off the handle. Absolute legend.

For just $5 a month you can help with research, writing, drawing, and all the work that goes into producing cartoons just like this one. There are a handful of perks, to boot. It's like PBS, but for weird history cartoons.
